We reached Etrop Grange Hotel near Manchester Airport in the late
afternoon, having had a wonderful wedding day on the previous day.
Due
to a slight hiccup on the hotel's part when Paul originally enquired,
we were very generously offered a suite for the night, a bottle
of Champagne and chocolates, 2 weeks' free car parking, and transfers
to and from the airport, all for the amazing rate of £99...
what a great start!
We put our feet up and supped Champagne once Paul had finally got
the 'Just Married' shaving foam and lipstick cleaned off his car
(thanks Jaymie, Mark, Todd, etc.). Thanks also go to the nice man
who lent us his penknife so we could sort out the Coke cans attached
to the rear of each of our vehicles!
At this point in proceedings, Becky still didn't know where she
would be spending the next two weeks. She had been told that it
was a hostel dormitory in Bognor (with a toilet on the second floor)
but she didn't seem to be buying it...
the proximity of Manchester Airport was perhaps a bit of a giveaway.
After dinner at the hotel, we went to bed and prepared ourselves
for tomorrow's early start - it's a long drive to Bognor Regis.
